2017 Search for Cleanest & Greenest LGU Update … PEMO conducts Roadside Geo-tagging

In preparation for the forthcoming Search for Cleanest and Greenest LGU 2017 which will start on February 28, the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) conducted the Geo-Tagging of Roadside of all participating LGUs.

PEMO CDA II Reynaldo Fabrigar together with EMS I Jobie de Jesus and AA IV Corazon Tugari conducted the whole day roadside geo-tagging recently in the municipalities of Tampakan, Tupi and Polomolok.

One (1) kilometer of road, which connects the existing 5-kilometer road that was evaluated during the past year’s contests, was geo-tagged and will serve as the entry of each municipality.

PEMO expects to finish the geo-tagging of the 11 participating LGUs before the start of the unannounced initial evaluation with its window period scheduled from February 28 to March 17.

Aside from geo-tagging, PEMO is also starting to receive the 10-Year Clean and Green Program Implementation of participating LGUs which is also one of components of the revised criteria of the search.

Members of the evaluating team that will judge the LGUs are representatives of PEMO, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Integrated Provincial Health Office, Provincial Information Office, Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum Promotions Unit, Department of Interior and Local Government Provincial Office, South Cotabato Foundation Inc. and Dole Phils.
