47 former rebels receive 65k each from E-CLIP

47 Former Rebels (FRs) formally received their cash assistance worth Php65,000 each under the  Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program ( E-CLIP)   during the awarding ceremony held early today at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.  Out of the total amount, P15,000 is for immediate assistance and the P50,000 is for livelihood assistance.

Aside from this they also receive additional Php21k each as reintegration assistance to be given to the receiving units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) of the Armed Force of the Philippines (AFP). The total cash assistance given has reached Php4 million.

Executive Assistant Mr. Rudy Jeminea representing  Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. led the formal turn-over of checks to Former Rebels. He was assisted by  BM Antonio B. Fungan, BM Edgar Sambog, PCol Jemuel F. Siason,   LGOO VII Maria Theresa D. Bautista, PSWDO Haide D. Agustin, among others.

“There is no reason why you should not go back to the realms of the government. Almost everything is there for you.”  Jimenea said,

Under the administration of Governor Tamayo, Jimenea narrated the many initiatives undertaken to win the trust and confidence of all even these former rebels.

“ There is already free education from elementary to junior and senior high school and hopefully until college. “ He said,

He added free hospitalization is given to every constituent to government hospitals.

Jimenea happily announced the provision of free dialysis services this year as 10 units of dialysis machines are now under the bidding process.

He added the government has reached far-flung barangays to reach out to underserved communities, and roads and bridges were built to bring more social services.

He also encouraged these former rebels to tell their fellow comrades the good news about the government and hopefully return to the folds of the law.

These FRs came from the following towns:

Lake Sebu, 17; Tampakan-9;  Surallah, 8;  Banga, 7; Koronadal, 2; Tupi, 1;  Polomolok, 1;

Other Provinces:  Kulaman, Sultan Kudarat, 1;  Maitum, Sarangani, 1.
