A total of 51 patients from South Cotabato availed of free transport services in September, courtesy of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). This life-saving initiative ensures safe and accessible transportation for individuals needing transfer between hospitals and their homes.
The program, spearheaded by the PDRRMO, follows the directive of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., who is committed to making essential public services accessible to all. Under this scheme, patients are transported free of charge, including the costs for fuel, drivers, and medical staff to assist throughout their journey.
According to Rolly Doane Aquino, head of the PDRRMO, this service aligns with Governor Tamayo’s vision of “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo”
“We aim to remove the burden of transportation from patients, especially during times of medical emergencies,” Aquino shared. “This is a service for everyone who needs it, and we’re ready to assist 24/7.”
How to Avail the Service
