Five (5) Tourism Infrastructure Projects worth P12.7 million sourced out from the 20% Local Development Fund (LDF) and 20% Annual Investment Plan (AIP) will be implemented in South Cotabato this year, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum Unit (ACTMU) reported.
Tourism Operations Officer I, Anna Liza Mondejar ACTMU Planning & Research Section chief disclosed that the project’s target beneficiaries are domestic and foreign tourists and constituents of South Cotabato as well as local stakeholders in the provinc
Up for implementation sourced out from the 20% LDF are the Refurbishment and Improvement of Bai Fu Yabing Weaving Center and Center Site located at Landan, Polomolok with a project cost of P1,500,000; Refurbishment and Improvement of Boi Lang Dulay Weaving Center and Center Site located at Lamdalag, Lake Sebu with a project cost of P850,000; Construction of wayfinders in identified areas in the province with a project cost of P5,000,000; and, Improvement of Paraiso Golf Course and Theme Park located at Paraiso, City of Koronadal with a project cost of P5,000,000.
Likewise, sourced out from the 20% AIP is the Establishment of T’boli House-inspired Learning Center Site located at Bacdulong, Lake Sebu with a project cost of P350,000.
Tourism is a top priority under the administration of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. and these projects, according to ACTMU, will be implemented from January to December this year.
