South Cotabato, Philippines — A remarkable 95 percent recovery rate has been recorded among patients admitted at the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital (SCPH) from January to February this year, according to a hospital report.
The data reveals that most patients, who sought treatment at the hospital, were successfully discharged in good health following medical intervention.
During the two months, the hospital accommodated over 5,000 patients despite its official ward capacity of only 200 beds. Records show that the bed occupancy rate reached 177 percent. The Outpatient Department tended to around 300 patients daily.
Despite the overwhelming number of admissions, the management of SCPH remains committed to providing free hospitalization services to the people of South Cotabato. These include free hemodialysis, free peritoneal dialysis, free consultations and medical packages, free dental services, and many more.
This continued dedication underscores the provincial government’s effort to ensure that quality healthcare remains accessible to all, especially to those in need.
