Php2.75-M worth of mono bloc chairs turns-over to DepEd

KORONADAL CITY -South Cotabato Governor Daisy P. Avance-Fuentes formally turns-over at least 6400 plastic monobloc chairs to the Department of Education South Cotabato Division during the regular Monday Flag raising ceremony held at the Covered Court this city.
The Php2.75 million worth of school supplies coming from the Special Education Fund Fuentes said, is already the second delivery which will be distributed to the different public schools in the province.
Schools Division Superintended Isagani Dela Cruz expressed gratitude to the province of South Cotabato for the constant support it has given to the DepEd.
The assistance Dela Cruz said was not only in terms of the school supplies but also in other needs of the division, be it in sports centers, classrooms, audio-video equipment, among others.
“We are grateful for this support, it has greatly helped our students,” he said,
This year, the provincial government of South Cotabato through the Provincial School Board headed by Governor Fuentes has allocated at Php42-million for the SEF to be used by the Deped South Cotabato Division on its Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses. These include the personal services of teachers, sports development program, payment for the honorarium and extra duty allowances of teachers, construction of sports learning centers and support to Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program.
