KORONADAL CITY- The Provincial Government of South Cotabato under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. immediately responds to the needs of our constituents this Covid-19 pandemic.
It is the duty of the government to provide early interventions with regard to the survival needs of the people of South Cotabato. Your welfare is our utmost priority! (Salus Populi est Suprema Lex).
Our team, together with the Covid-19 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) immediately prepared necessary actions to combat this global crisis.
We readied thousands of food packs and immediately distributed to the community, purchased PPE’s and other important necessities for our front liners, disinfect major roads including government and private offices and other establishments as requested.
As to the recommendation of the South Cotabato Medical Society and through various consultations, we declared Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and Calibrated Total Lockdown in the entire province of South Cotabato to protect our people and our borders.
“Hindi ko kayang isakripisyo ang isang milyong tao na madagdagan ang araw na maquarantine sila, dahil sa pag accommodate sa ilang tao na papasok sa South Cotabato. Pagbigyan niyo muna kami.” Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. said.
