“TIANGGE sang PROBINSIYA ON WHEELS” continues in reaching communities to provide food security intervention amids covid-19 pandemic

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO- Due to the on-going Enhanced Community Quarantine and Calibrated Total lockdown in the province of South Cotabato, movements and other activities are limited especially when buying our basic needs that includes food.

Therefore, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the initiative of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. come up with a program that will help and sustain the daily needs of its people.

Through the “TIANGGE SANG PROBINSIYA ON WHEELS”, a food security program of the province that aims to encourage the South Cotabateños to stay at home and to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Dr. Raul Teves, Food Security Program Head in cooperation with the Provincial Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Justina Navarrete and other government agencies; the “TIANGGE SANG PROBINSIYA ON WHEELS” will bring the goods and services to the community especially to the ground so that the people will no longer have to travel from their barangay going to public market or supermarket to avoid crowd and maintain social distancing.

In addition, some of the basic commodities that are available are fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, chorizo, meat, egg, rice, spices, at many more.

Another objective of this program is to help our small and medium enterprises to sell their products at a reasonable price and also to recover from loses.

We had also reached to the following municipalities: Tampakan, Banga, Polomolok, Lake Sebu, Sto. Niño, and Tantangan. For the upcoming municipalities scheduled are: Norala, Surallah, T’boli, Tupi, and Koronadal.
