SoCot-PHRMO Sets Plans For Civil Service Month 2023

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through its Provincial Human Resource Management Office are now preparing for the upcoming celebration of the Civil Service Commission Month Celebration this September 2023.

Pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No.1050 S.1997 – declaring every September of every year as Civil Service Month, government offices prepare for the annual gathering and celebration of government employees.

Freda P. Gazo, Provincial Human Resource Management Officer, expressed that the office planned various exciting activities to promote sportsmanship and develop camaraderie between the different employees of the various government offices in the province.

“Kada tuig ginahulat gid ni nga selebrasyon sang aton nga mga empleyado… kay paagi diri nga selebrasyon, makalingaw-lingaw, maka-kaon, kag maka-bonding ang aton nga mga empleyado,” Gazo said in an interview.

Various government offices are divided into four clusters namely: Blue Cluster (PASSO, PEMO, PGO, PLO, PTO, & PVET), Green Cluster (PACCO, PADMIN, PBO, PDRRMO, PGSO, PHRMO, PPDO, & SP), Yellow Cluster (PAGRI, PEO, PIO, PPO, & PSWDO), and the Red Cluster (IPHO, NDH, PMH, & SCPH).

Each cluster will be participating in the various activities for the upcoming Civil Service Month Celebration such as the Inter-LGU Sports Tournament, Inter-Cluster Sports Tournament, Basketball Tournament for Men, and Volleyball Tournament for Men and Women.

Gazo also added that the office also prepared new activities in hopes of incorporating a festive atmosphere for the September celebration.

“Subong nga tuig, aside sang aton nga mga Inter-cluster Sports Tournaments, may ara kita subong sang Mister and Miss PGSC nga pageant nga pwede salihan sang aton nga mga employees” – Mrs. Gazo added.

The PHRMO already released the guidelines for the following events and tournaments, with the games starting as early as first week of September. The culminating activity of the Civil Service Month Celebration this year is set to be celebrated on the last Friday of September
