As part of the governmentโs ongoing commitment to inclusive development and peacebuilding in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, material assistance was officially turned over to the Philippine National Police Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 โ 1205th Maneuver Company under the ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ โ ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ (๐๐๐ง๐๐-๐จ๐ฃ).
The assistance aims to support the construction of a Community Comfort Room in Sitio Datal Biao, Barangay Danlag, Tampakan โ a crucial infrastructure project identified through consultations with residents and stakeholders.
Sitio Datal Biao is among the remote upland communities that have long faced limited access to basic sanitation facilities. The provision of this comfort room is expected to significantly improve hygiene, health, and dignity among the areaโs residents, especially women, children, and indigenous peoples.
The turnover marks another milestone under the CATCh-UP program, which utilizes a convergence approach to deliver coordinated interventions by government agencies, security forces, and development partners. Through this unified strategy, stakeholders aim to uplift vulnerable communities by addressing both security concerns and social development needs.
Officials from the local government unit, PNP, and community representatives were present during the activity, which also underscored the role of the police not only in maintaining peace and order, but also in facilitating grassroots development projects.
This initiative reflects the shared vision of building safer and more resilient communities in South Cotabato, anchored on collaboration, inclusivity, and responsive governance.
