The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 12 in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo has launched the 2nd batch of the Kapatid Mentor ME or KMME program this April.
DTI 12 Regional Director Ibrahim Guiamadel disclosed in a press statement that the KMME Project aims to promote the inclusive business model in the country where successful entrepreneurs will guide, mentor and capacitate fellow entrepreneurs.
Simultaneous launching of the project is scheduled on April 10 for Sarangani province, April 11 for General Santos City, and April 17 for Cotabato province and Cotabato City.
The launching of the provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat meanwhile are scheduled on June 7 and July 13, respectively.
In the pioneer batch of the KMME project, 20 entrepreneurs joined coming from Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, South Cotabato and General Santos City.
Those coming from South Cotabato include Lola Aling’s (Tupi), Scoops Garden Ice Cream (Surallah), Marche Herbal Food Products (Sto. Nino) and Eden’s Flowers (Tupi).
“We expect to see more of our local entrepreneurs graduate into higher levels of business operations, increase their productivity, and widen their market reach,” Guiamadel stressed
He added that the results of the program “will be more economic activities, create more jobs, and contribute to an improved standard of living for the people of SOCCSKSARGEN.”
