Gov. Tamayo lauds outgoing Sanggunian, expects strong performance from new members

South Cotabato, Philippines—South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed deep appreciation to the outgoing members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for their dedicated service, as he formally welcomed the new set of legislators with high hopes for sustained excellence in governance.

During a statement released at the turnover ceremony, the governor praised the outgoing Sanggunian for their performance, leadership, and contributions to the province’s progress.

Yong mga performance na mayroon ang ating Sanggunian—bilang Governor, alam ko kung paano kayo nagtatrabaho. Alam ko kung gaano kayo kasipag at kagaling,” Gov. Tamayo said.

He commended their efforts in crafting policies and programs that left a lasting impact on South Cotabato’s development.

“Maraming salamat sa inyong talento, sipag, at tiyaga na buong puso ninyong ibinigay para sa ating probinsya,” he added.

As a new chapter begins, Tamayo turned to the incoming Sanggunian members and expressed confidence in their ability to maintain the momentum set by their predecessors.

“At papasok naman ang bagong Sanggunian ngayon. I expect that the direction will still be the same—masigasig, tapat, and para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan,” he stated.

He emphasized that a smooth transition in leadership is crucial to sustaining development efforts and ensuring continuity in public service. The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to unity, integrity, and inclusive progress for all South Cotabateños.

The event marked a significant leadership shift, underscoring the provincial government’s ongoing commitment to good governance and effective service delivery.
