South Cotabato, Philippines – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, today officially opened applications for the Kabugwason Paglaum Scholarship Program (KPSP) for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026. The Kabugwason Paglaum Scholarship Program is now open not only for newly admitted first-year college students but also for Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine or other postgraduate programmes.

The scholarship program provides financial assistance to those financially disadvantaged to pursue higher learning in South Cotabato schools and colleges. It is still one of the flagship programs underway by the provincial government to ensure the educational equity of its constituents. Qualified applicants include graduating Grade 12 students, new college freshmen, and persons pursuing professional degrees such as law and medicine and master’s and doctoral degrees; candidates must be bona fide residents of South Cotabato.

Application materials: a duly completed application form, certified true copy of grades or transcript of records, certificate of indigency or proof of income, barangay clearance, letter of intent and supporting documents as specified. Thousands of South Cotabateos are still counting on the Kabugwason Paglaum Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance for tuition, fees and other educational costs, and prove the province’s firm commitment to education as a viable instrument for personal and community development.
