Koronadal City, South Cotabato- On October 21, 2024, the municipality of Norala will start providing hemodialysis services for the first time.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. of South Cotabato played a crucial role in making this project happen. With 10 dialysis machines, the facility can provide kidney disease patients with life-saving care, which will be a major step forward in developing the local healthcare system.
“Kung mapapasin niyo ang ibang rason ng mga nagma-migrate from here to other countries ang palagi nilang sinasabi ‘gusto naming doon kasi maganda ang health services” Governor Tamayo said.
The opening of this Hemodialysis Unit addresses a critical need in the local community, ensuring that patients suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD) can now access life-saving procedures without travelling long distances. Dialysis is essential for patients whose kidneys are no longer able to function effectively, helping to filter and remove waste from the blood, thus improving quality of life.
The help of Governor Tamayo and the Norala District Hospital underscores the provincial government’s dedication to improving healthcare accessibility for its residents. For the community of Norala and its surrounding areas, this development represents a step forward in improving healthcare access and outcomes.
“Ang aking pangarap lang kung hindi na ako magiging Governor sana maipatuloy pa ang aking nasimulan na programa lalong lalo na sa health services. Dahil ito nga ang isa sa pinaka ka importanteng aspeto na dapat pag tuonan ng gobyerno.” Governor Tamayo added.
The Norala District Hospital continues to show leadership in its efforts to expand and accelerate quality healthcare for all. The healthcare system in South Cotabato is witnessing steady improvements under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.
His administration has placed healthcare at the forefront of development efforts, upgrading facilities, increasing accessibility, and providing better medical services for all residents. Through consistent and strategic initiatives, Governor Tamayo is committed to ensuring that people, especially those in rural and underserved areas, have access to quality healthcare.
