Over 8,800 SoCot residents receive aid through AICS in first quarter

A total of 8,817 residents in South Cotabato received assistance from the Provincial Government through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program during the first quarter of the year.

Of this number, 4,826 individuals were provided with medical assistance, 3,042 received hospital assistance, 706 benefited from mortuary assistance, 81 received financial aid, 93 were given burial and rice assistance, and 69 individuals received food packs.

The AICS program is one of the government’s key social services aimed at extending support to individuals and families facing unexpected life crises, particularly during emergencies.

This initiative is among the programs prioritized and adequately funded by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. to ensure that every resident who seeks help from the provincial government can return home with tangible support for their needs.
