The Environment Management Division (EMD) of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) started the year with the site visit and inspection of the Integrated Provincial Environment Management Center (IPEMC) located at Tinongkop, Tantangan on January 5.
PEMO-EMD chief Elbe Balucanag led the inspection together with Engr. Armin Demetillo of the Provincial Engineers Office (PEO) on the progress of the construction of the perimeter fence of the IPEMC.
As of press time, the perimeter fencing is on-going on the 161-meter frontage of the lot along the barangay road in the area.
The project which started on November 13, 2015 has a project cost of P1,05,827.13 and expected to be completed on February 11 this year.
IPEMC sits on a 5.6-hectare property and is the future site of the South Cotabato Health Care Waste Treatment Facility.
Balucanag disclosed that the treatment facility will be constructed this year with an estimated project cost of P 5 million.
Other facilities such as training and demo center, storage for confiscated illegal materials and paraphernalia and nursery for planting materials will also be constructed on the IPEMC.
