Koronadal City, South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has mobilized resources to accelerate the implementation of its Convergence Approach for Transformation and Change–Unification Program (CATCH-UP), appointing Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rolly Doane C. Aquino to spearhead the initiative.
Aquino, who brings his background as a registered nurse and extensive experience in public service to the role, has hit the ground running with community visits across the province’s most isolated areas.
“Maarangkada kita sa pinakamadasig nga paagi. Gusto ko ang pagpamalakad ko may impact kag output,” Aquino said, stressing his goal of ensuring that government interventions under the CATCH-UP program bring real and lasting change to communities.
The CATCH-UP program targets seven priority areas that will address long-standing challenges in remote communities. These include poverty reduction through integrated services, infrastructure development, improved access to government services, enhanced transportation networks, community empowerment initiatives, literacy programs, and sustainable resilience-building measures.
The program is aligned with the development agenda of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., whose administration is committed to implementing “Tama kag Maayo” programs—those that are inclusive, accessible, and impactful—to ensure no community in South Cotabato is left behind.
The CATCH-UP implementation is part of the province’s strategic approach to fast-track socio-economic growth and build resilient communities capable of sustaining long-term progress.
