Prov’l Engr’s Office reports P817-M completed, on-going projects for 2016

Some 169 infrastructure projects province-wide, completed and on-going, amounting to P817,126,975.75 were reported by the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) as accomplishment for 2016.

Provincial Engineer Marnilo Aperocho disclosed during the weekly Kapehan sa Kapitolyo recently, that 112 projects were already completed while 57 are still on-going.

Majority of the completed projects or about 62%, Engr, Aperocho pointed out, were vertical structures such as repair of government offices, barangay halls, multi-purpose buildings, among others, while 38% were horizontal structures composed of roads, box culverts, lined canals, water systems and repair of bridge’s approaches.

Aperocho added that about 8% were special projects funded by the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Development Program (PRDP), KALSADA and DA’s Food Security Program.

The list of the completed and on-going projects reported include 6 box culverts, 6 bridges, 80 buildings, 3 PRDP projects, 18 drainage/lined canal/flood control projects, 18 roads, 2 KALSADA projects, 10 Food Security projects, 8 water systems and 22 other appurtenant projects.

As of press time, PEO likewise reported that P245.952,935.55 worth of projects is still on-going province-wide.
