SoCot extends aid to 668 calamity-hit families in Tantangan

Tantangan, South Cotabato– Families affected by recent calamities in the municipality of Tantangan have now received assistance after the area was hit by strong winds and widespread flooding. In a swift response, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. instructed the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) to provide immediate aid to the affected residents, many of whom lost their homes, livelihoods, and livestock.

According to PDRRM Officer Rolly Doane Aquino, while calamities are inevitable, it is their responsibility to ensure that no one is left behind. “Although we cannot prevent disasters, it is our duty to assist those in need,” said Aquino.

The current administration assures that it will expedite the delivery of assistance to the affected families to help them recover quickly from their losses and hardships.

With the provincial government’s continued focus, efforts are underway to extend aid to more people in need, ensuring that no one is left behind.
