The Provincial Assessor’s Office of South Cotabato (PASSO), under the leadership of OIC-Provincial Assessor Engr. Ritchie Ballesta, REA, continues to push for innovative governance with the recent orientation for the implementation of the new Real Property Tax Administration System. This initiative marks a pivotal advancement in the province’s commitment to delivering accurate, transparent, and efficient public service.

The orientation, organized and spearheaded by PASSO, introduced the features and functionalities of the new system, which aims to automate and streamline the procedures involved in the assessment and collection of real property taxes. With this system, the process of tax administration will transition from manual and time-consuming methods to a more digital and data-driven platform, reducing delays and minimizing human error. It also seeks to improve accessibility to information, providing faster services to property owners and stakeholders.

The modernization of the Real Property Tax Administration System is a proactive response to the growing demand for more responsive and equitable public service. It demonstrates the local government’s determination to align its practices with modern standards of governance. By adopting a system that ensures consistency and transparency in valuation, the Provincial Assessor’s Office supports a more just and inclusive development agenda for the province.

This initiative also underscores the values embedded in the local government’s mission—offering genuine public service that is both people-centered and future-ready. By strengthening the technological backbone of property tax systems, South Cotabato paves the way for better revenue management, which is essential for funding local development projects and improving basic services.

The rollout of this system is a testament to the province’s dedication to public service excellence. It embodies the ongoing efforts of South Cotabato to become a model of innovation-driven progress in local governance.
