Tantangan South Cotabato, Philippines – Gena P. Mamon, a resident of Barangay New Iloilo, Tantangan, South Cotabato, expressed her joy and gratitude after receiving free dialysis treatment at the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital.
Mamon, a mother with children and a husband who works as a laborer, shared how difficult her life was before she became a beneficiary of the program initiated by Governor Tamayo. She revealed that her husband’s lack of stable work made it hard to manage the expenses for her dialysis.
However, after learning that she could avail herself of the free dialysis program, Mamon considered it a great blessing, especially with the financial strain it had alleviated.
Before the program, the cost of hospitalization was a significant burden, but now, her only concern is the cost of transportation, as the dialysis is free of charge.
“Ang akon bana, nga wala sang permanente nga trabaho, bangud isa ini ka Laborer rason nga magastos ang pag dialysis ko. . Apang sang nabal-an ko nga pwede ako maka-avail sang libre nga dialysis program, ginbaton ko ini bilang dako nga grasya, ilabi na gid nga nakabulig ini sa amon pinansyal nga problema. Gena Stated
Sang una, tuman gid ang kabudlayan namon sa mga gastos sa ospital, pero subong, ang akon lang problema amo na lang ang pamasahe padulong sa ospital, kay libre na ang tanan nga proseso sang dialysis.” Gena stated the free hospital treatment program, one of Governor Tamayo’s flagship initiatives, has been a tremendous help to many struggling families in South Cotabato, who faced financial challenges in accessing healthcare.
The program has relieved countless individuals from the heavy burden of medical expenses.
Mamon also took the opportunity to send her heartfelt thanks to Governor Tamayo for the free dialysis, which has eased her hardships. With this program, she no longer must worry about the high treatment costs and can focus on other matters, such as taking care of her family.
