Fifteen (15) schools will vie for the Philippine Statistics Quiz – Provincial Eliminations (PSQ – PE) slated on October 30 (1pm) at the PROTECH CENTER, an annual program of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) based in General Santos City.
PSQ – PE is one of the programs of the National Statistics Month celebration this October with this yar’s theme “Pagyamanin at Gamitin ang Estadistika, Kalusugan Para Sa Lahat ay Abot-Kamay Na.”
The schools were Green Valley College Foundation Inc., Notre Dame of Marbel University, Marbel Institute of Technical College, Notre Dame Sienna College of Polomolok, International Cruise Ship College, Kings College of marbel, Adventist College of technology, STI College of Marbel, AMA CLC College of Marbel, St. Alexius College, Holy Child College of Information Technology – Koronadal and Surallah, Marvelous Collwge of Technology, Regency Polytechnic College, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges Marbel.
Three college freshman students will represent their respective school or a total of 45 students will join this year’s contest.
The 45 contestants will slugged it out in the first 2 rounds of the contest but only those with cumulative10 points and above will make to round 3. If there are less 5 students that could reach 10 cumulative points, only the top 5 will make it to round 3 as the mechanics of the contest rules.
Prizes at stake are as follows: First Prize – P8,000.00; Second Prize – P7,000.00; Third Prize – P6,000.00; Fourth prize – P4,000.00; Fifth Prize – P3,000.00 while Consolation Prize winners will receive P1,500.00 each.
Winning and non-winning coaches will also receive cash incentives each; winning schools will get trophies and non-winning schools Certificates of Participation.
Aside from PSQ-PE, PPDO is currently conducting Authentication of Civil Registry Documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates and certificate of no marriage available or cenomar.
The authentication of documents will run until October 30.
