SEF gets Php60 million annual budget

The Provincial School Board chaired by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has approved at least Php 60 million Special Education Fund (SEF) annual budget for this year 2023.

Based on the resolution recently approved by the board, said funds will be used for the operation and maintenance of public schools, construction and repairs of school buildings, and early childhood development program.

The resolution provides that the sources of funds will come from the tax revenue coming from the real property taxes paid by the real property owners of the province as certified by the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.

The statement of appropriations states that out of the total allotted funds, Php35.28 million will be intended for the honorarium of 4002 PSB-paid teachers, 5 ka instructional managers and 4 mobile teachers from ALS, and 9 Madrasah teachers under the Operations and Maintenance of Public Schools.

Another Php5.2 million will be used for the construction of 2-classroom buildings at Brgy. Taplin Tampakan and Libertad National High School in Surallah are worth Php2.6 million each.

Php19. 6 million is allocated for the honorarium of 147 accredited daycare workers, 487 not accredited daycare workers, and 136 Learning Support Aides under the early childhood care and development program.
