SOUTH COTABATO, PHILIPPINES – Two remarkable women, Clara N. Michelena and Marela Glospeah C. Juaman, who proudly represented the South Cotabato in the Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2024 pageant, recently celebrated their grand return home in South Cotabato. On October 21, 2024, a parade was conducted to celebrate their accomplishments and welcome them back to the province.
Marela Glospeah C. Juaman, who was the 2018 Mutya ng South Cotabato, carried the banner and represents Koronadal City, while reigning Mutya ng South Cotabato Clara N. Michelena represented the Province of South Cotabato. They deservedly received acclaim for their outstanding efforts. Juaman emerged as the ultimate champion as Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2024. South Cotabato was even more proud when she was named Miss Tourism World Philippines 2024. Meanwhile, Michelena made it to the Top 10 finalists.
The two beauty queens paid a visit to Provincial Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. to show their appreciation for the local government and community’s support. Juaman and Michelena expressed their gratitude to the people of South Cotabato and Koronadal City for their persistent support.
Michelena shared an inspiring message for the youth, saying, “Get out of your comfort zone. I know that a lot of people out there, especially the young children who are aiming to be a beauty queen someday, want to join Hiyas ng Pilipinas. Showcase what you really have and stand with what you believe in. Don’t be afraid, because I know you can; if I can, so can you. Just believe in yourself and enjoy the journey. We only live once, so why not live the most out of it?”
Juaman also had words of encouragement, stating, “Keep dreaming. We are the land of the dream weavers. Remember, we weave our dreams into reality, and so the sky is only the limit. Thank you, gid, sa suporta! Clara and I will never be in our places today without the support of Koronadaleños and South Cotabateños. Again, dream big. As long as you have the best support system—and lucky for you, we are in Koronadal and South Cotabato—we can make our dreams into reality.”
Their success has shown that South Cotabato Angat sa Lahat. Through their hard work and dedication, Juaman and Michelena have not only brought honor to the province but have also inspired future generations to dream big and aim high.
