South Cotabato, Philippines –The Provincial Government of South Cotabato achieved a national recognition as one of the Top 5 local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines for outstanding anti-red tape compliance. This prestigious accolade from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) highlights South Cotabato’s exceptional commitment to streamlining government processes, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and delivering efficient, accessible services in line with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Services Act of 2018 (Republic Act No. 11032).
In a recent “Governor Meets the Press”, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed gratitude to the Capitol employees for their excellent handling of client interactions. “Gina congratulate ko ang mga employees sang Provincial Government of South Cotabato, it means maayo ang pakikitungo nila sa ila nga mga clients.”
South Cotabato was the only provincial government to be awarded this highest honor out of the 860 government agencies evaluated, which included 296 national government agencies, 135 state universities and colleges, 154 government-owned and controlled corporations, 25 government hospitals, 200 LGUs, and 50 local water districts. “Nangin manami kay almost 800 participants kita lang ang naka sulod nga provinces, proud man kita kay na proved naton diri sa South Cotabato importante gid ang mga cliente naton kaysa saaton nga mga personal interest.”
South Cotabato’s dedication to simplifying procedures, lowering administrative barriers, and providing its residents with top-notch services is reflected in the prize. The province has set the standard for other LGUs in the country with its proactive strategy, which has not only increased service efficiency but also encouraged a more open and accessible administration.
