South Cotabato started its tourist arrival with 141,739 visitors for the month of January 2023, the Arts, Culture, Tourism & Museum Unit (ACTMU) reported.
Lake Sebu is the top choice of tourist for January with 62,887 visitprs, followed by Tupi with 26,414 and Banga with 22,786.
Breakdown of the arrivals per LGU are as follows: City of Koronadal – 6,332, Polomolok – 2,912, Surallah – 16,592 Tampakan – 1,641 and T’boli- 2,175.
Norala, Sto. Nino and Tantangan have not submitted their arrivals report, ACTMU disclosed.
Meanwhile, 217 foreign nationals were recorded to have visited South Cotabato for the same period.
Topping the list are Americans with 108 and Canadians with 46. The rest of foreign visitors came from South Korea – 13, Colombia – 1, Ireland – 4, China – 1, Oman – 4, Norway – 2, Australia – 8, India – 2, Italy – 1, Costa Rica – 8, Africa – 12, United Kingdom – 4, Brunei – 1, Russia – 1, Saudi Arabia – 1.
