South Cotabato completes 209 infrastructure projects in 2023

In line with the continued implementation of its “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo” program, South Cotabato successfully completed a total of 209 infrastructure projects last year. These projects amounted to a total of P826 million, with P407 million allocated for the Upper Valley and P419 million for the Lower Valley. Among the completed projects were 19 kilometers of roads, daycare centers, bridges, and irrigation systems, among others.

Additionally, the provincial government earmarked P146 million for 53 vertical structures, such as classrooms, multi-purpose facilities, and senior citizens’ centers. For water-related projects, P92 million was allocated to ensure that communities have clean and accessible water lines.

These projects are a direct result of the concerns and requests made by citizens to Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. during his visits to the 199 barangays of South Cotabato.

These completed initiatives demonstrate the provincial government’s continued efforts to meet the needs of the people, from infrastructure development to social services, all aimed at improving the quality of life in the province.
