PGSC Intensifies Rural Water Access

The South Cotabato Provincial Government has delivered crucial materials for a spring water rehabilitation project in Sitio Lambalas, Barangay Rang-ay, Banga, marking a significant step toward improving water access in this rural community. The delivery, completed on January 14, represents a milestone in the province’s infrastructure development initiatives.

The project, operating under the province’s Convergence Approach for Transformation and Change – Unification Program (CATCH-UP), aims to rehabilitate a water source situated 1.6 kilometers from the community. Essential materials, including specialized piping equipment and construction supplies, have been provided to ensure reliable water distribution throughout the area.

The comprehensive delivery encompasses various components: multiple sizes of PE pipes and couplings, essential connection materials including Teflon tape, pipe nipples, and valves. Additionally, the project received construction materials, notably five bags of cement, to support the infrastructure development. For Sitio Lambalas, which has long grappled with water accessibility challenges, this rehabilitation project represents a crucial advancement for its residents.

This initiative embodies the provincial government’s broader mission of promoting equitable development across South Cotabato’s diverse communities. Through the CATCH-UP program, the province continues to lead various development projects, with a particular focus on infrastructure improvements and essential public services. The water project stands as a prime example of the government’s commitment to addressing fundamental community needs through strategic infrastructure development.
