Koronadal City—The Upper Valley Community Hospital in Suralah is preparing as the regional hospital in SOCSKSARGEN region since Cotabato City, where the present regional hospital is located, is now part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“The government is now more focus on the conversion of the regional hospital, “Cong. Ferdinand Hernandez said in an interview.
In the meantime, there is ongoing construction of the P50M additional building inside the UVCH compound.
Recently, Sen. JV Ejercito graced the groundbreaking of another P148M building at the UVCH. The plan is to start the construction in April.
The Department of Health will also deliver the necessary medical equipment for UVCH from previous budget allocation.
“We are expecting more constructions of buildings in the next two years and, in 2021, we hope to open as the new regional hospital.
Cong, Hernandez is the author of the conversion of UVCH as a regional hospital in the lower house while Sen. Ejercito is his counterpart author at the Senate.
