89 more beneficiaries avail livelihood assistance in SouthCot

At least 89 eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment  (DOLE) Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) or KABUHAYAN Program formally received various  Livelihood Starter Kits or Negosyo sa Kariton (Nego-Kart)worth Php1.68 million during the formal turn-over held at the ProTech Center in Koronadal City.
The list of beneficiaries include,18 for carinderia (Php359,100);  13 for  kakanin making (php242,320);  8 for baking (Php159,600); 9 for ballot making (PHP177,840); 7 for  pritonh manok (Php111,685);  6 for food processing (Php119,700); 4 for negocart (Php78,840);  4 for Barbecue ( Php77,  840); 4 for Banancue (Php68,780);  3 for ice cream (Php59,850); 2 for Halo-halo (Php39,260); and beneciary each for  pastil, burger and siomai, lumpia,  calamansi, turmeric making, and peanut butter with financial assistance  of php15,000 to 19,950.
The  DILP is a flagship program of the DOLE that provides grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood and entrepreneurial ventures for vulnerable and marginalized workers.
Based on its guidelines, for the Individual category,  beneficiaries can avail of the Starter Kit or Negosyo sa Kariton (Nego-Kart), up to maximum grant assistance of P 20,000.00, depending on the project requirement.
Eligible beneficiaries include self-employed workers who are unable to earn sufficient income,  unpaid family workers, low-waged and seasonal workers, workers displaced or to be displaced, marginalized and landless farmers, marginalized fisher-folks, women and youth, Persons with Disability, Senior Citizens, Indigenous Peoples, Victims of Armed Conflicts, Rebel Returnees, and Parents of child laborers.
PESO Officer Flora Cavan said these beneficiaries were part of the 261 recipients of the livelihood program with a total cost of Php 5 million.
This is implemented by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato through the PESO South Cotabato in partnership with the DOLE-Regional Office 12.
