Construction of 14.9-Million Provincial Road Project in T’boli Underway

T’BOLI, SOUTH COTABATO — The concreting of a key provincial road segment from Glamang to Basag in the municipality of T’boli is well underway, with funding amounting to Php 14,993,558.44 from the Provincial Government of South Cotabato.

The road project is part of the provincial government’s broader initiative to enhance infrastructure, particularly in geographically challenged areas. Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. emphasized the urgency of accelerating road development to ensure easier and safer travel for residents, especially students and farmers transporting agricultural goods.

“This is one of the priority projects of our administration,” Governor Tamayo said. “Efficient delivery of government services depends largely on accessible and well-constructed roads, especially in far-flung communities.”

Currently, only a small section of the road—mainly in mountainous areas—remains unpaved. However, these portions are already included in the ongoing construction phase and are scheduled for completion.

Governor Tamayo reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development across South Cotabato, stressing that under his leadership, “no sector and no community should be left behind.”
