South Cotabato, Philippines – Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the men and women in uniform for their critical role in ensuring the peaceful and orderly conduct of the recently concluded national and local elections.
“Gina congratulate ko ang pwersa ng mga PNP natin, mga Military uniform personnel na talagang na nagsakripisyo, hindi natulog masiguro lamang na magkaroon ng peaceful and honest na election sa South Cotabato at nangyari nga, “Gov. Tamayo stated during a press conference on Tuesday.
Gov. Tamayo emphasized the importance of security and public trust in the electoral process, noting that the visible presence of police and military personnel across voting precincts boosted voter confidence and deterred potential threats. He also recognized the sacrifices made by the security forces, many of whom worked long hours under difficult conditions to protect polling places and election personnel.
“As public servants, you have shown courage, professionalism, and genuine concern for our people. I am proud to work alongside such dedicated individuals,” he added.
The governor encouraged continued collaboration between local government units and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order beyond the election period. The successful elections in South Cotabato stand as a testament to the strength of cooperation between civilian leadership and uniformed services. With election-related incidents kept to a minimum, local officials and citizens alike hailed the peaceful polls as a triumph of unity and vigilance.
