LGU South Cotabato Records Over 4K Job Opportunities Last Year

South Cotabato, Philippines— With its aim to provide better service through the Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo brand of public service, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through its provincial human resource and management office, recorded over 4,000 job opportunities in 2024.

Data from the Provincial Human Resource Management Office recorded 4,113 job openings and opportunities across various types of employment, including 2,042 job order positions, 1,389 Provincial School Board employee positions, 508 casual employee positions, and 174 regular and plantilla positions.

Furthermore, a large chunk of the workforce is to support local schools, employing Provincial School Board employees.

Meanwhile, fresh graduates and first-time applicants are among the beneficiaries of the job opportunities offered by the provincial government.

“As a freshgrad and looking for jobs dako ini nga bulig sa amon, kabudlay gid mangita sang obra, so sa pamaagi nga ini mas mapadali gid ang pagpangita namon sang obra. Ini isa ka opportunidad para maka explore man kami sang mga obra nga magamit namon ang amon kurso nga gintapusan.” – stated Maclaine Demegillo, a fresh-graduate and first-time job seeker.

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. vowed to generate more than 10,000 jobs in the province before his term ends, strengthening the local workforce to magnify the delivery of the “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo” brand of public service.
