The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through the Provincial Engineer’s Office, allocated a total of PHP394,400,000.00 pesos for the province’s 2024 infrastructure projects.
Provincial Engineer Lloyd M. Esparagosa stated the projects are in line with various priority projects for the swift delivery of services to the constituents of the province as mandated by Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr.
He said more projects are allotted to the Economic Services Sector, including road concreting projects, construction of Early Childhood Care and Development Classrooms, and establishment of potable water systems in far-flung communities.
For this year, Esparagosa proposed 70 projects. Sixty-four projects were for bidding, he stressed.
In addition, the Provincial Engineer’s Office targets to utilize the infrastructure budget by August.
