South Cotabato, Philipppines — The Province of South Cotabato took center stage at MindaCon 2025 as it officially unveiled the Tupi IT Park, a visionary infrastructure project that aims to transform not just the province, but the entire island of Mindanao, into a competitive hub for technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
Positioned along the national highway in the progressive Municipality of Tupi, the Tupi IT Park will soon rise as a state-of-the-art facility with a total floor area of 50,420 square meters. Designed with flexibility in mind, it will feature 37,800 square meters of office space from the second to the tenth floor — each level offering 4,200 square meters of adaptable workspaces fit for BPOs, tech startups, and global companies.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. emphasized that the project goes beyond the borders of South Cotabato.
“Hindi lamang ito laban ng South Cotabato. Laban ito ng Mindanao,” said Governor Tamayo. “We are encouraging investors to invest in Mindanao, invest in rural areas, invest in provinces!”
The building will be constructed using pre-fabricated steel and autoclaved aerated concrete — both chosen for their strength, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Highlighting its green architecture, the structure will also feature heat-resistant glass, solar energy systems, and a rainwater harvesting facility.
Aside from its sustainability features, the Tupi IT Park is also being developed with functionality and convenience in mind. It will offer ample parking, access to public transport, high-speed internet, and modern, collaborative workspaces — ideal for forward-thinking companies and digital enterprises.
Provincial leaders invited private sector partners to take part in this transformative endeavor, describing the IT Park as a gateway to inclusive growth and innovation in Mindanao.
With the Tupi IT Park, South Cotabato is not only opening its doors to progress — it is leading the call for countryside development, showing that world-class investment opportunities do exist in rural provinces.
