The 12 core values—Godliness, Friendliness, Perseverance, Patriotism, Honesty, Diligence, Unity, Openness, Integrity, Equity, Commitment, and Excellence—serve as guiding principles for the provincial government and its employees in delivering services to the people of South Cotabato.

During the re-launching ceremony Tuesday, Governor Tamayo stressed the importance of these values in creating a government that is responsive and compassionate.

“Serving the people is a sacred duty,” he said. “By anchoring our actions in Godliness, we ensure that every decision we make is righteous and just.”

Core Values in Action

The value of Friendliness is seen in how public servants engage with their constituents. The Provincial Government prioritizes warmth and empathy in its dealings with communities, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.

Governor Tamayo underscored the significance of this approach: “Our brand of service is rooted in empathy and understanding. We want every South Cotabateño to feel that they are not just numbers in our system, but individuals we care about.”

Perseverance and Patriotism are also evident in the provincial government’s tireless efforts to improve the lives of its citizens. Whether it is the implementation of community development projects, health services, or infrastructure programs, the government remains steadfast in achieving positive outcomes for the province.

“No matter the challenges we face, we persevere because of our love for this province,” Tamayo said.

“Our commitment to patriotism drives us to work harder each day for the welfare of our people.”
