Koronadal City — The Interior and Local Government in South Cotabato confirmed annual validation of Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards in Barangay Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato.
Barangay Poblacion in Tupi is the region’s entry to LTIA at the national level.
The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) was established in 1997 as a means to institutionalize a system of granting economic benefits and other incentives to the Lupong Tagapamayapa that demonstrates exemplary performance in settling disputes at the barangay level.
DILG recognizes initiatives of the barangay to the preservation of peace and order in the locality. Barangay justice system is strengthen to decongest cases lodged in courts.
Barangay Poblacion, Tupi was evaluated on their efficiency in operations, effectives in securing the settlements of interpersonal dispute objectives of the Katarungang Pambarangay., creativity and resourcefulness of the Lupong Tagapamayapa, facility for KP activities and financial or non-financial support.
Aside from Tupi, Barangay Poblacion in the municipality of Polomolok was also an LTIA regional winner in 2017.
